Head, Group Safety & Security

Dr. Razin was appointed as the Head of Group Safety and Security of Malaysia Aviation Group in January 2023, and oversees aviation safety, occupational safety health, radiation safety and security for the group. Prior to this, he was the Head of Corporate Safety Oversight at Malaysia Airlines Berhad from May 2019 until December 2022. Dr. Razin has over 25 years of experience in aviation health and safety. Prior to joining Malaysia Airlines in May 2017, he was the Head of Medical Support Operations in the Malaysian Armed Forces. He obtained a Medical Degree from Ireland in 1994, a Master of Aviation Medicine from New Zealand in 2012 and has attended various airline safety courses. He was appointed as Chairman of the Flight Operations Safety Working Group for the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) from March 2019 to March 2021, a member of the oneworld Safety Best Practice Team from March 2019 until December 2022 and a member of the IATA Medical Advisory Group.
