Aida Salfaraz was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Malaysia Airlines in April 2026. She previously served as Chief Operating Officer of MAB Academy from March 2023, following her tenure as General Manager of Group Human Capital for Malaysia Airlines Berhad, a role she held from May 2016. Aida began her career with the organisation as a Management Trainee in 2003 and has since undertaken various roles during her 20-year tenure, including as Head of Human Resources for MASwings, Head of HR Services for Malaysia Airlines Berhad, and Head of Human Capital for Firefly, among others. She possesses extensive experience in various disciplines of human resource management, including performance management as well as talent acquisition and development. Aida holds a Master's degree in International Relations from Keele University, UK, and a Bachelor of Economics from Universiti Utara Malaysia.
